I know that tattoos are personal and individualized, but what is the oddest one you've ever seen, either on someone you knew or a stranger?

Follow-up question: Has your friend ever gotten a tattoo that you wish you had been there to talk them out of???

My X's Great Grandfather
who was 100+ at the time.
Said he got his first tat at 16.
It was a Nautical Star. It still
looked great. The ink looked
soft and a little blurred, but it
looked so interesting to me.
I wish I would have thought to
get a photo at the time.
Sometimes mistakes have to
be made to learn our lessons.
I have mentioned to friends, that
maybe, just maybe, they might
want to think, a certain tattoo over,
before jumping in the ink pool.
But nobody ever listens. Their
adrenalin is flowing and away they go.
I never say, "I told you so", at the
time of the cover up. I just smile.

Well this guy was once showing one off at a party. He had a tat. under his arm that looked like a woman's spread legs and his arm pit hair was suppose to be.................

Yeah I think that's the most vulgar thing I've seen tattooed on someone!

My friends have never had one done but if I'd been there with that guy before he got his done I would have surely tried to stop him! Ew!

A friend of mine got a tattoo of the happy and sad drama faces on her breast. So far as I know, she never had any interest in performing arts. She went into the shop wanting a tattoo, couldn't find anything she really liked in the sample book, and had them do that. She should have gone to different shops and found something she actually liked.

This doesn't compete with the Alice and Wonderland tat (eewww....gross), but I used to work with a vet that had a tattoo of a diagram of a kidney on her ankle (the picture was from one of her textbooks). She got it as a way to commemorate vet school, and she said the renal system (that is the kidneys and stuff) was her favorite system to study.

Well...I know a lady who got a tat back in the 60's when she was a young woman. ... Skin changes and 40 years later, well, it's just not a good thing. It's of a moon, star and what she called a 'moon-flower'. Maybe it's not what the tat is 'of', but the aging process that didn't do it any favors....

when I visited a tattoo shop in Vegas, one of the artists had a picture of a tattoo he had done....it was on the foot of someone who had lost a toe, right under where the toe should have been it said- oops! It was odd but funny at the same time.

Ok, here's one...this one guy I saw at a bar had a tat of a topless girl lounging under a palm tree, wearing only a skirt and a pirate eye patch.

I had a friend get a whole underwater scene on her stomach with a Hello Kitty scuba diver. it literally took up her whole stomach. It is awful! I wish that I could say that she was the one that I wish talked out of her tat, but it is actually a friend who got her boyfriends name tattoos on her lower back. Of course they broke up and then she was stuck with his name on her. I wish she would have come to me first and I would have told her that that was a bad idea!

I was at the water park with my friends and we saw a 300 pound guy who had a huge tattoo of Alice in Wonderland characters giving oral pleasure to each other. It was very disgusting. I can't believe that an artist would want to do that type of work.

No on second question.

I saw a guy once with a beer bottle covering the entire bottom of his foot.
Tattoos on the bottom of your foot and your palm don't stay long, mind you.
