When you chase someone you mind is constantly entertained by the idea of getting them. Once you have them your mind is let down because it's not as entertained as it was before you had them. If you worked really hard to get them, you might want to think about somethings you could do to get your mind thinking about them again. Think of things that would make you really happy to do with that person then try to arrange it to happen. Or find out some interesting and unique things about them that you had no idea about, and that could be something exciting for your mind to focus on, especially if it is something you've always wanted to do yourself.

When you're chasing someone it's the excitement of the chase that drives you. In your head, you continually hype up the idea of this person, and create an ideal that they probably aren't. So when you actually catch that person, they don't live up to the false ideals that you've created for them in your mind, and you're ultimately disappointed.

Because its all just a face to capture you, or befriend, you the ones worth wanting are the ones you have to chase or prove yourself to.

i know how you feel. It's a rubbish feeling. I guess its cos people always want what they cant have so when you get it (them) you have no reason to want them anymore.
Also feelings fade and maybe the feelings you first had when you wanted them faded in the time it took you to get them,

because while youre chasin them you dont really know the real them but once you finally git em then it all you thought it was gonna be.
