what is happening is we have one of those cassette things that connect to a portable cd player, in the car, and the cassette thing is stuck in the tape deck, and we can't get it out. it says: "tde2". what does that mean, and what can we do?

Your best bet is to scrap that tape player and go to walmart and buy a cd head unit .You can get them for as little as 99$ and itll work fine,not the best quality but it'll do the job.

You probably have wadded tape inside around the rollers and capstan. You have to open the tape player case and untangle the tape wound up inside. then if it works after removing cassette clean the heads and rollers with isopropyl alcohol, (rubbing alcohol) and Q tips being cafefull to get any fuzz removed from off the Qtips. Do this about every 20 hours of use. There are the cleaners that are like a cassette with a white tape that you put alcohol on and run through, but cleaning manually is better.

replace it is more cheap the tech going to charge at least 35 dll plus the repair cost i sugest buy a cd player from any walmart store or big lots for 70 dlls or less

It's an error code-the deck needs to be replaced.
