corona is the most over rated beer?

sersiously it tastes like crap... what is your favorite beer? I'd have to go with something a little more craft beer, like Sierra Nevada, or Widmer Bros. or Bridgeport, if anyone is from portland..

Corona is definitely over hyped. Any beer that you have to add fruit to to make it taste like anyhting is basically yellow, very diluted vodka. Sierra Nevada is one of my favorites as well. I also really like Bell's, but you may not be able to get it out in Portland. Great Lakes, brewed here in Cleveland also makes outstanding beer. The assorted Stone beers are also very nice. Samuel Smiths oatmeal stout and taddy porter are tasty.

The thing I dislike about the Corona hipe is the ignorance of the people that drink it. It is a status symbol of beer-knowledge lacking people.

I am passionate to Belgian beers but also like most American craft beers. Also I do drink Bud. If you do not like that choice perhaps some day I could educate you about beer.

Note to CANCANGURL the Corona you love was crated by "white people" as you call us. German immigrants to Mexico helped the Mexicans brew better beer. But in comparison Corona is very much like Bud, Coors, Miller, other big national brands.

I'm not a big fan of Corona either but I'll take it over many other mass-produced brews, always.
As far as brew that can be purchased, pretty much, nationwide, I'm a big fan of the Flying Dog, Leinenkugel and Sam Adams varieties. I can't say what my absolute favorite is since I'm always trying something new. But if I had to pick one it would probably be Flying Dog Pale Ale.
Hey, 420cubed, we have Shiner here in Ohio, too...not bad but I'm not too big on bock beers.

Corona is well marketed. A lot of people who don't like much taste in their beer love it.

From seeing your list, I recommend that you try to find Red Seal Pale Ale and Rasputin Imperial Stout, both by Mendocino Brewing. If you have a Trader Joe's, look there for them.

Amen to that! Corona is sh** in my opinion.....I use to work for a beer distributor and I had a few mexican guys tell me that Corona is a cheap beer in mexico....kinda like Natty light here...... Speaking of beer from Portland, try Rouge Dead Guy Ale

I don't think anyone really considers corona to be good beer. I'm a fan of anything from Samuel Adams and my personal favorite is Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout.

Hey cancungurl, Corona is the worst swill in the hemisphere. The only people who drink it are tourists that want to look cool. If you want to drink a great beer take what fiddy has to say to heart.

I am not a beer drinker but this guy I know is from Mexico and he swears that America has an all together too small selection of beers. He says that Mexico has the best and has like 200 (I don't know how exaggerated that is) types of beer. But he says that he will drink Corona.
Stick a lime in it and swallow. All alcohol gets you to the same place.....

I like Heineken and if I'm feeling like a light beer, I'll go with Bud Light. And my favorite beer: Guiness.

It does taste like crap! I like Miller Lite myself. I used to drink Shiner Boch like a fish, but i got sick of waking up in the morning with a headache, but Shiner will mess you up faster than any beer around. GOD BLESS TEXAS!
