cutting out coke or pepsi or any fizzy drink is proven to help lose weight. lots of water is key.

artificial sugar isn't good either, if you need a sweet fix try strawberries or fruits!

chocolate is ok, especially darker cocoa chocolate. it's proven to be ok as long as it's not super sugary.

just eat a lot of fruits and veggies, try water over fizzy drinks. stay away from chips and dont eat 2 hours before bed.

anyone who says stay away from bread is wrong. you need bread.

Let's see, switch white bread to 100% whole wheat, it has to be listed in the ingredients as whole wheat, if it says enriched anywhere in the ingredients it will not do. Drink strictly water, at least 8 glasses a day, and if you choose to drink milk have it be skim, which is non-fat. Eat 5-6 small meals a day, spread out by 2-3 hour intervals. Here are some good food items you can eat: BREAKFAST: Small bowl of oatmeal w/ Skim milk & splenda, A slice of whole wheat bread w/ NATURAL peanut butter (no hydrogenated oils; should have no more than a few ingredients listed) with a tangerine, a banana with an apple LUNCH:Half of a turkey sandwich w/ a small handful of almonds/cashews or a serving of veggies, basically any lean meat paired with some veggies. Same for dinner. Snacks can be things like non-fat cheeses, packs of lean lunch-meat (chicken or turkey), veggies, fruits, or nuts. Walk for 30 minutes a day along with 10-15 minutes of light weights, and try to stop eating at least 2 hours before bed. Follow this plan and you should start shedding the lbs! Exercise is very important. Also you should allow yourself a cheat food/drink a day if you sincerely crave it to prevent binges from occurring, just remember that it will take long to lose weight if you choose to do so. foods that make ur blood sugar shoot up.
avoid fats that are solid at room temp. like margarine.
these are saturated fats and are not good for u.

avoid lotsa red meat but if u do eat it, eat lean beef, not the hamburgers.u know how the hamburgeers are made?
they take half lean meat and half fat and smack it together. they send it out to fast food companies. that's why burgers are uhm juicy.

if u have lotsa salt, ull gain weight. but that weight is mainly excess water.

never skip a meal especially breakfast. that will destroy ur metabolism.
eat smaller meals throughout the day.

avoid sodas. most americans get loads of calories by sipping on regulr colas all day.
refined grains like white bread. try whole wheat instead.
donuts, butter popcorn, some salad dressings have way too much calories.

but i say eat everything in moderation. i eat everything.

Stop eating so much of everything. Find some lower calorie alternatives to the foods you enjoy, then eat smaller portions.
