if they was a man who made all this that would take great power.

did he loose his powerafter making all this and us people?

because i see people dieing of hungry i see man killing man for no reason i see lots a hurting things we do to each other
i see the weather killing people.

why if god is so great he can build the world but then stand by and watch us destry it all?

someone said to me.....

when something good happens that is gods work and when something bad happens that is thedevil at work i just do not belive this i am sorry.

i would like to think that they is more to life then just this.

i would like to think they is something better but i do not. i want to belive but can't.

i have studyed things in the bible and the truth is i can not see how they could of happend or they are so impossible to happen.
these are my views and like i said before i'm not out to upset anyone.

So either "God" doesn't exist, or "God" isn't cleaning up after us. Either way, it looks like we're on our own. Maybe someone should pick up a broom or a first aid kit.

In my own view (yes, even after getting you to research scientific proof), God and the Devil are just inventions designed to make people attracted to doing certain things and not others. Most of what the Christian Bible teaches is, in my own opinion, bull.

But there are certain parts that make sense. They make sense right up to the point where they're almost civilised. I mean, take the ten commandments. Cut them down a bit, remove two or three unnecessary ones, and there you have enough to sustain a personality to die for.

Who needs the Bible when the main point of Christianity is right there? So tell the local priest 2p off, rip a page out of the Bible, and you're set for life.

I never did. I left Christianity behind me, and coasted along on my own morals. Easy really, considering my morals are pretty good. But then I found Buddhism and it was like I'd found a comfortable jacket. I didn't need to change to get in, because my morals were summed up perfectly in the Buddhist version of the 10 commandments. Just without having to believe in any Gods of any kind.

The only way you can actually find out the truth for yourself is to meet face to face with God, via Jesus, by the Holy Spirit.
You, like many others on this site want some sort of proof but you can only find it for yourself by doing the right things....by walking the right path.
If you want to understand the truth of Christianity then I suggest you attend a FREE course called the Alpha course which is non-denominational and concentrates only on what it means to become and live a Christian life.
http://www.alpha.org
There will be a Church near you (which you can find on the site) that you can go to. This may be the best thing you have ever done in your life...please try it.
Best wishes, Mike.

Life is learning how to deal with all these terrible, terrible things, never ever knowing why, and still finding joy in beauty in life. If you knew who 'God' was, and exactly what he wanted, then humans would be nothing but servants or enemies of higher power.

I will not argue the truth or untruth of the things you say. I am not so wise as to explain God (whoever he is). I think no man can explain it. If so, he would be more than man, living something other than life. Life has no promises. I think, the meaning of life is to find joy and beauty, to believe that there is joy and beauty, even though life can be so terrible. If all questions had answers, why are we born as children who must learn?

Life is learning how to get by and still believe in goodness, beauty, and joy, even if there are no guarantees. Without that struggle, there is no life. If the Christian Bible had all answers, there would be no Koran, no Tao, no Buddha, only the Bible and Jesus. There is no one, final answer to life, because that IS life.

I like your accent. Eastern Europe, no?

The only proof I can show you is the Word itself. Like you said "why if God is so great he can build the world but then stand by and watch us destroy it all?" You're right, "US destroy it all. Why would the creator destroy his own work? It is US, the people in this world that is destroying it, we all have "our own free will" that God has given us. All the things we experience in life is what God allows to happen, but it is for us to learn from and grow strong. He wants to "weed" out the weak so that the strong may enter the kingdom! People, shamedly, do what they want to do, not what God wants us to do. If we all did what God wanted us to do, this would be a perfect world wouldn't it? Heaven is made perfect for those who will make it there! Use your own free will, no matter what this life throws at you, and make the best of things so that you may enter the kingdom of God!!!

This is an amazing world isnt it, yes it would take an amazing amount of power to create ( or organize ). Sorry I dont have facts but I will tell you how I view things.
Ask your self why did he create this world, and other worlds like unto it. And than sit back and allow us to destroy each other. First of all try and reconize there is alot of good going on around as well as bad. If people can do so much good among so much coruption, those individuals must be really amazing and have some very strong charicter. And maybe thats what it is about letting people grow stretch themeselves or destroy themselves, leaving it up to them to choose there charicter.
Secound dont blame God for everything or the Devil, not everything that happens to us is there faults.
There are five reasons things happen to us.
1. Things happen becuase of our very own chioces.
2. Things happen becuase of others chioces and actions.
3. Things happen becuase of pure chance, happenstance.
4. things happen because the devil wants to destroy us. If you believe in God you must therefore reason there is a devil called Lucifure.
5. Things happen because an all loving heavenly father sticks his hand out and helps.
Now God organized this universe by his word, and by his word all elements obey, they do this because he obeys the laws of the universe perfectly. And so they obey him because they to are bound by these laws.
One of the laws of this world is the law of freedom to make our own chioces. So he has to obey his own laws to help us.
And he wants to help us but we must also do our part ( His arm is stretched out All THE DAY LONG ). Ask and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you.

If you encounter some supernatural action by God, you would certainly believe that the miracles in the gospels and Jesus' body being resurrected is very possible. Some parts of the Church (various denominations, various individual churches) have a lot of supernatural deeds going on.

The world is a mess, and often a painful mess. The traditional christian view is that it has been messed up through the corrupting actions of a spiritual class of beings (rebel angels) we can't normally see. Then we have humans being very proud and selfish, often hurting each other. And Nature off-balance.

When I believed in Jesus I certainly got forgiven and encountered God through the presence of the Holy Spirit. His love is more wonderful than any human love, but we have to grow in faith to actually experience that love in our lives; this takes time, but God normally gives people an easy start when they first believe.

Pretty simple.

You are making life about what happens. God could have made everyone slaves and then we would be able to do no wrong, no ability to choose.

Life is all about choice, even atheists can agree on that. Your life, your choices.

Lets say you wanted someone to live with you. Do you just walk up to someone on the street and let them move in? Do you "interview" them to determine if you want them for a room mate?

You could think of Life as "an Interview with God" before moving into his house. God wants people who make good decisions living with him.

Just like you do, or any theist or atheist and every person in between does.

Well, I suppose there are some people who seek out those who make really bad decisions. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and believe you are not self destructive.

You have made a good argument for your own beliefs, I myself still sit on the fence, I would like to believe but parts of me also think. How can He be testing someones love by taking a child away from illness or something else?.....unfortunately, i do not believe there is any proof so it is down to what give you comfort and what your heart tells you...I am still listening to mine..who knows, maybe we all find out one day.....!!! There are good things in the World also though, watch those sometimes, if you don't believe in Him, you might believe in the human spirit....there are a lot of great people on this planet, especially friends..

The fact of the matter is there is no solid proof and it is highly unlikely there ever will be. There are good people on this earth who are not only law abiding, but kind and gentle and who love the planet by looking after it and yet so many of those people do not believe in a god at all, where did they get their goodness..because it is simply in their nature, or that's how they were raised...I respect your thoughts and opinions and perhaps you are one of those people.

Ah well, according to religious people, God gave man free will, so if men want to kill each other then why should God interfere?

But then again, one of the commandments, written by God, says thou shalt not kill....

And if God doesn't care if you disobey his instructions, how come he tossed Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden for eating the fruit of forbidden knowledge?
