Isn't it like you can only one drink an hour to stay under the legal limit. That would defeat the point of going to a bar

most people are over the limit when driving from a bar but since people have different tolerances some may not appear drunk. basically two drinks and your over the limit, but if you get pulled over after two drinks and have a high tolerance you would give no reason for a cop to suspect you've been drinking. you shouldnt drive after any drinks, but if you do, just know what you can handle.

Yes, people really do leave the bar well under the intoxication limit. I am one of those folks. I really like to dance and that's why I go - for the music and the to hang w/ friends. I don't have to be falling down drunk off my @** to have a good time.
Besides, that's SO college. hehe.

only the DD's, or those that quit drinking long before leaving.

For this reason I'm looking into buying a personal breathalyzer. You can buy them for like $100 and keep it in your car. I can go out to happy hour have 2-3 beers and an appetizer, feel 100% sober, pass a field sobriety test and probably still get a DUI.

i don't drink & meet my friends at bars, clubs, etc. all the time. i go there to socialize, dance, play pool - not to drink. my friends may have a couple of drinks, but we all drive home under the legal limit.

Personally, if I volunteer to be the DD (we all take turns) I don't drink a drop just coz I don't want to give the law any ammo to harrass me. Yeah, it's a bit of a drag occasionally, but we make up for it when it's our turn to drink. If there is a really fantastic band or great party, we take a taxi home after walking downtown. (gotta love small town Wyoming lol)
