Can anyone tell me why it doesn't filter out like everything else?

I am not sniffing me pee...but seriously if someone was in the bathroom right afterward it is noticeable. I am actually slightly concerned for my kidneys, and wonder if this is my body not filtering properly.

Enjoy your coffee and stop smelling your urine!
Either that or you're buying your latte from the wrong place. What did you do to piss off the barista?

I'm sure there are some aromatic chemicals that pass through the body unchanged.

the smell is due to the caffiene in the coffee.
caffiene is not metabolised inside the body and is excreted mostly in the urine unchanged ,as basically,it is a water-soluble substance.
whenever you have shot of some strong coffee like the starbucks one,you tend to excrete it in a much concentrated state and thats the reason for the smell.

At $3.50 for a latte you should be able to enjoy it more than once.
