Does she hear all right? It'll take some time for a cat to associate themselves with their name. Maybe you could call her name at the same time as you do the gesture (pat your legs) that gets her to come. Reward her when she comes with a treat or lots of love...
Then start patting your legs less and less, but still calling her by her name. Always remember the reward and then finally you should be able to stop patting and she'll associate you calling her with the food.
Now... that doesn't necessarily mean she knows her name. It could just mean she knows the word you use when you want her to come to you ;)

Cats arent like dogs in the sense that they will come when called. Sometimes they will but most of the time they wont. Just keep repeating her name and she will get used to it. Cats do tend to respond better to names that end in 'ie' or 'y' so daisy is a good name. If you want her to come just use the can opener. my cat always came when she heard it.

Try treating your cat with cat biscuits. Before giving her them, shake the box. The cat will soon remember what that sound is. Next, shake the box and call her name and she will come. Sometimes, shake the box, don't call her name and when she comes running put the biscuits away. She will soon learn that she will only get rewarded when she responds to the name and not only when she hears the biscuits rattling. It's noy long after then that she will respond to her name rather than the sound of biscuits.

Get creative, when calling her name raise the pitch of your vocie in a way that will sound pleasent to her. When petting her talk to her and keep repeating her name, lol make up a song or something funny to say to her when you come home, eventually she'll associate it with love and will come running whenever she hears it. Try food association too, hold a treat in your hand and say her name a few times and give it to her and pet her while saying it some more
good luck

Just keep saying the name around her. And when you pat your legs be like "Daisy.. Daisy.." and when you are petting her say daisy a few times she will learn it after awhile.

Ive had alot of expirience with cats in my days.......just keep calling her by her name, she will probably not know it for a couple more months when it gets comfortable with its habitat and the people sourrounding her...or just use patting on your legs as another form...i use whistling when its time to eat, they understand quite perfectly...good luck!
