Was the painting "Black Jesus" (J.J Evans, Jr., oil on canvas, 1974), despite the manifestations of its apparent supernatural powers, truly blasphemous?

No, I dont think it is blasphemous. Jesus was not handsome that people would notice him that way, and men paint Him as they are inspired. I have seen an Asian Jesus painting and it is quite thought provoking. I dont think it is a big issue with Him.

Jesus might have not been black-skinned but actually a tannish color, like most of the people of that time in that place, but it is not blasphemous to portray Jesus as black-skinned.

No I don't think it is blasphemous but I do think it is silly when people spend too much energy debating what he would have looked like etc.....

He was a Jew that is certain otherwise I will wait to get the rest of the picture in heaven.

Since Jesus was a hebrew he likely had skin that can be likened to middle-eastern skin tone. Whether that means black, white, beige, brown, yellow, orange or pink to you doesn't matter. His skin isn't what was important.

How could it be? No one living now knows what Jesus looks like.. he COULD be black for all anyone around in this day and age knows!

No, everyone sees Jesus differently. Do you have the only photo that Jesus was in before He died?

NO I don't think so everyone paints according to what they look like. But he was a middle eastern.
