Any faith that promotes these ideals is good. It is Christian if it is based on Jesus Christ. The light of Christ is there for all. Sometimes it is called a conscience. Sometimes it is insight.

......"which is to say they attempt to practice a loving, caring, Peaceful way of life"

That is not what defines Christianity. It is a component of it, but a Christian is one who follow's Christ' teachings. Christians also believe Jesus is the Savior, and that there is no way into Heaven except through accepting Him as Personal Lord and Savior...(Good works alone won't get you there...Good Karma won't get you there...Praying to other gods 'definately' won't get you there...etc.)

Does all religions have this attitude? No.

Christianity is not a religion. It's a faith.

It is a way of life--but it's more than that. Just because someone is loving, caring, etc. doesn't make them a Christian. Believing in Christ makes you a Christian.

Because Christianity is based on the person of Jesus Christ; the biblical Jesus Christ. Islam does not observe a biblical Jesus at all; the Jesus of Islam is not the son of God, He did not die on a cross, He is not the only way to the Father. All of these things are who and what Jesus is, as spoken of in the word of God, the bible.

You're forgetting the basic premise of Christianity.
Jesus is God, come in the flesh.
It is this that gives us our Blessed Assurance!
