i was born this way. i was always a little different in my beliefs, what i liked, what i did, how i saw the world, and what was important to me. i just didn't know there was a name for it, or that there were other people like me until adulthood. so why am i pagan? i really was born this way.

I am a pagan because of the spiritual freedom it allows. Paganism, for me, is a syncretic and eclectic path. I cannot fully embrace the tenets of one particular religion, so I learn what I can from many religions, keeping what feels right to me and discarding the rest. As a pagan, I believe that I am not separate from the Divine; we are one. I am my own priest. I am my own savior. Everything is sacred. There is no absolute good and there is no absolute evil. I walk in darkness and light simultaneously. I am not above nature; I am part of it.

I am a Pagan because I believe in a higher power, a deity if you will, but adamantly do NOT believe in the Abrahamic God (or Allah). I follow Nature's teachings, and the Wiccan Rede, and the 3fold rule.

And I would love to see how someone could cheat "in their own words".

Because I am a follower of the Wiccan religion, which (at least the last time I checked) is counted as one of the Pagan, or rather NeoPagan, faiths.

I am a Pagan because it is the right path for me. I feel a connection with the Goddess, the God, the Earth and all of nature. I feel drawn towards the craft and towards Healing others. When I read my first book on Wicca it was as though the man had read my mind and heart and written everything down. i have a deeper spiritual relationship with myself, my Gods, my family and my earth.
Blessed Be.

Because the culture and practice spoke to my soul. I don't claim the title witch because I have not been initiated yet and don't feel I'm ready. I honor the aspect of the God and Goddess in the forms of Isis, Ma'at, Osiris, and Thoth...umm is that good?

My family has always been of the Paganus. Now that the Neos have brought back that title, I find it fits me much better than the later Christian created title of Witch. Though my only true label is Elder and Librarian of The Lore.

1. I am not a follower of any of the Abrahamic Religions
2. I am a believer that we are part of nature, not apart from it
3. I am a believer that we are a part of the Divine, not apart from it
4. I believe the nature of the Divine is manifest in all things
5. I believe that we are reborn until we "get it"

That's the bare bones of it Bubba
