How real is something that exists only in computer models that cannot even agree with each other?

How real is something that only holds up in the computer models during the night, but is invalid during the day?

How real is something that only holds up in the computer models over land but is invalid over the majority of the Earth (oceans)?

How real is something that only holds up in the computer models for the Northern Hemisphere and not the Southern?

How real is something that acknowledges the principle Greenhouse gas (water vapor) but excludes it from computer models because they cannot quantify it?

How real is something that favors ground-based stations and all the individual biases which can quickly compound errors over state-of-the-art thermal sensing satellites?

We could go on, but I'm having trouble trying to find the "real" part of global warming. I'll leave deciding whether it is fake or not up to you.

There's natural global warming which has always been around since the birth of the planet (unless the planet has been in one of it's cooling phases). There's no question that global warming / cooling happens naturally.

There is concern that human activities have speeded up the natural warming process. This isn't any great surprise as we've known since 1896 that greenhouse gases cause the planet to warm up. As the world has become more and more industrialisied the levels of greenhouse gases we have emitted have continually grown, unless there some other factors involved that cause the world to cool then Earth has no option but to warm up - it all comes down to nothing more than a simple physical property of the greenhouse gases.

Okay.. some of the folks here need to do their own research instead of listening to propaganda. (and how much we like or dislike Al Gore has nothing to do with it) The fact is that yes there are a certain amount of greenhouse gases released naturally (a.k.a carbon cycle) and yes this does cause a small amount of global climate change but the question really is: Does human existance contribute or magnify this? Well it seems to me, even all of the people who will read what I wrote and brickwall it away, would probably rather be safe than sorry. I mean they could all be wrong. I guess... but i mean poor Gaia. We should take care of the Earth anyway. Even if there is not impending doom we should take care of it for the future generations. Hope this helps.

Global climate change is real. It is always happening and will always happen. Just look at the geologic record, ice ages and, inland ocean levels. Yes, Global Climate change is real. Global warming as espoused by the green movement is just a panic tactic to control humanity and force beliefs, taxes, and restraints upon free human behavior. People who flaunt 'weather' records for the past 40-50 years are funny. Meteorologists didn't even know about the jet stream until the early 1940's. We cannot even predict weather patterns a month away and yet unfounded panic is spread people trying tell us what will happen in hundred years.

The earth is a dynamic system. If ice melts due to warming then the atmospheric humidity will increase. An increase in atmospheric humidity will create more clouds, condensation, and rain which all serve to lower climate tempeature. The water cycle and oceanic currents regulate, dissipate, and control climate. Does this mean we should ravage our earth? NO. We need to be wise stewards of this planet and conserve and preserve wisely. But Al Gore is just another duplicitous, power-hungry liar in a long line of liars who twist the truth to promote themselves for power and money. Like in his movie when he states that increased CO2 levels have increased global temperature. The truth is that (and this is documented in the fossil and geologic record) increased global temperature increase levels of CO2. He diliberatly misrepresents this to make mankind the culprit. Gore has his own agenda and honesty has never been a part of it.

It is real, but not caused by humans. The Earth's climate naturally shifts between warm and cool periods. Regardless of whether cosmo wants to believe it, the Earth was warmer in the 1300's. Also, the effect of the sun and cosmic rays are not pseudo-science and have yet to be shown they are incorrect. The most common form of argument for liberals like Al Gore is to make statements so many times that people begin to believe they are real (much like urban legends). A great example is that "the debate over global warming is over." The last time I checked, there really hadn't been a debate to be over. Another of Al Gore's mantras is that there is an overwhelming consensus among scientists that global warming is man-made. Sorry, Al, but science isn't about consensus. It is about proven facts. There was a bigger consensus that the Earth was flat than the alleged consensus that global warming is man-made. Look where that wound up.

Yep it sure is the eath is heating up don't get me wrong, but its not mostly caused by man, man only causes about 6%. People also seem to forget that we are in an ice age right now so I wouldn't worry about any global warming until the ice age is over..........

Maybe it is real but why is all the goerments telling people to use less energy when they are making weapons of mass destruction it those sh!t that make global warming not people

How can one know except by listening to so- called experts. As a layman in this field I still don't like the intense raining that we've seen in England, China, India, Sweden etc. Fires in Croatia and Italy, and they are still going on. Very high temperatures in Greece, Rumania, Bulgaria. Australia has been experiencing extreme seasons for some time now, especially drought and fires. Something is not right though I don't know what it is so i have to listen to those that say they are experts on climate and weather change.

The earth has warmed and cooled ever since its creation. So yes there is global warming; however the issue here is whether our sorry little existence is causing it. The answer to that is no, we may be, in some very small way, be contributing to it; but the planet is going to do what it wants to do. It has for eons and we just aren't as important as we think we are. Once we have over stayed our usefulness the earth will kill us off just like the dinosaurs. I am fairly certain that they weren't driving around in gas guzzling cars polluting the environment to change the earth. It changed on them!

What how can you even ask if it is fake.... Al Gore even said it is real.... just like he said he created the internet

look into the climate changes for the history of this planet.... and then explain how there were global warming and cooling extremes back when there were no humans.... was dino poop that much of a factor in global warming. just think how big those turds were and how much methane they were releasing into the atmosphere... christ that stuff can kill ya esp. those quanities...

the planet goes through cycles from one extreme to the other... yes we probably has some impact on the speed it is happening now.. but in the big picture we do not have that much of an impact as they claim we do... all the clean air laws and there like are just feel good legislation to appease the few who tend to be the loudest to make them think they are helping.... only problem is now that the gov. gave into them once they expect it all the time and that is all they do now is complain and piss and moan and try to sue until they get their cry baby ways
