I'm upgrading to a front suspension fork and want to know if I need a 1" steer tube or 1-1/8". Thanks.

Thats actually a tough call. Derby Corporation (who owned Univega) used the brand as a "test" for their other brands.

Although I could speculate, I would strongly suggest that you measure the steerer diameter before you order the new fork.

Um, one other thought... Make sure you keep the fork travel to less than 90mm or it will throw off the geometry too much and put goofy stresses on the headtube, possibly causing failure. You can't just put a shock on any bike...

If it's from around 1990, I would almost guarantee that it's 1 inch.
