cconsaul has som good answers in his links. I'll add that where you'll have the most difficulty is in dealing with the people in your band. Find people who you can have fun with. That is, people you like and respect, and who like and respect you in return.

Sounds like you also need to spend more time developing you singing voice as well as playing your instrument. You may want to spend a couple of more years on both before you try starting a band. Confidence in front of the audience will greatly reduce the amount of stress you experience.

The best way to be more comfortable in front of the audience is lessons (once per week), and practice at least an hour per day. If you practice more than an hour a day, break up your practice into one hour sessions---like one hour in the morning and an hour in the evening. Or if you want to do more than two hours per day, make sure there is at least a one hour break between the hours. And make sure the hours you spend practicing are fun for you.

Eh.. well you could ask around for other girls who can play essential instruments. The basic (but not limited to..) people in bands are:

Singer*
Back-up Singers
Guitarist*
Back-up Guitarist
Bass Guitarist*
Drummer*
Keyboardist/Pianist

*= very important

Then all I can suggest after that is get some practice times set up and start looking for talent shows all over your city or at your school. If you get good enough you can start playing at school dances and social events. Word may get around about your band.

If you want to make professional CDs, well, I can't help you there. But just to get started and get the news about your band spread, purchase/borrow a karaoke machine, and you all can play and record onto a tape/CD.

I hope I helped!
