When violent crime is being visited upon you in certain situations you have every right to defend yourself with deadly force. I think that is an excellent answer. Shoot more of these scumbags and they won't be around. Scum just needs to be thinned out a little.

Believe it or not..."quality of life issues." Hitting up people with minor offenses...such as traffic stops for things such as speeding, loud music, etc, are a good way for officers to find criminals. Many times I have pulled over a vehicle and discovered that a person in it has a felony warrant. Every time a criminal is put in jail is one less time they can hurt someone else.

A study done in NY discovered that every person who committed major crimes, including violent ones, committed "hundreds" of smaller offenses every week. If they can be caught doing the smaller offenses, then they will be unable to commit the more violent ones.

The Chinese do it very well. Arrest the perp, try him the next day, convict him, give him an appeal that afternoon, deny it, take him out back, shoot him with a .38, bill the family for the bullet.

Their rate of recidivism is pretty low.
