I inherited my dad thick eyebrows , as he is from the middle east. I absolutly love my eyes, however they can be a little too thick I was wondering whether I should get them professionally waxed or plucked. If I end up doing them myself can anyone give me some tips on either plucking or waxing them. Thanks! ( - :

Go have a professional do it at a salon. Waxing hurts far less than you might expect, and much less than tweezing. Plus, tweezing takes forEVER, and it's too easy to get carried away when you're working that close up.

I sometimes "wax" my own with Sally Hensen (sp?) wax strips--no running! But it's really so much easier to let someone else do it, plus the results are usually better.

Those girls that do it at salons are good. They know just what they're doing, and two minutes and eight bucks later, you're done! (That's what I like best about waxing--it is so quick! Major time efficiency!) Over the next few weeks, you can keep things tidy by tweezing any strays that pop out, but for the most part they're done for four to six weeks! It's fabulous!

Good luck!

I am a liscensed esthetican and I think waxing is great as long as you dont have any reactions to the wax for example redness that lasts over 8 hours or breaking out on your eyelids from the wax. I would find an experianced esthetician in your area and give it a shot and then you can tweeze (you pluck a chicken LOL) in between your waxing appointments. hope this helps

Wax them at a salon every couple months or when they get too thick. In between waxes, pluck the stray hairs but don't go overboard or they might get uneven.

Definitely wax! It can sort of hurt your first time, but it will look so much better and thinner than just plucking. Get it done professionally your first time. Then, if you don't feel like going back, you can just follow the same shape and structure created by the person when you got it done professionally and just fix stray hairs.

GO to a salon and get them waxed. It'll last longer than plucking and give you a more professional look. It doesn't even hurt!

Plucking can be more painful in my opinion if you have really thick eyebrows if you get them waxed tell them you don't want them too thin though.

Everyone is different. I pluck mines my self. I put lotion on my eye brows for at least 30 minutes to an hour prior to starting to pluck them. I have also waxed them but I prefer to pluck to my liking. If you know someone who plucks there eye brows have them do it for you. Hey you will never know what you like best until you try it. Good Luck!

Waxing is easier and you can maintain the shape better. Try getting it done every 4 to 6 weeks. Make sure that you go to a reputed salon.
