The iTunes software you used to load the iPod can copy the music back off of it.

Hey.. Use iTunes it's a Apple company and the best thing is free!! With iTunes you can download music, podcasts and videos (with a video iPod) onto your pc, and with a click of the button onto your iPod. Hope this has been helpful..

YamiPod. its a great Freeware program that will let you copy music from the pod to your HD.
just google Download Yamipod and youll find the page.
