I’ve been hear reading people’s posts and then I read that evolution is a fact now. Wow, that blew my mind. Who did this? Which school or scientist created life in a lab? I always thought spontaneous life was like… no way, but if someone did this who was it and why isn’t it in the news? Cause man, that’s wack!

That's because it is not true. I always wondered why people believe in evolution. I mean, believing that we came from a monkey, a fish, or that everything came to life due to a random explosion and ta-da! there are trees, animals, human beings....is far more difficult than to believe that there was and is a Creator that made evrything. I mean, how come we dont see monkeys slowly becoming humans? And if we came about as a result of an explosion, then how come we can't survive one? It is wack how people can believe the most unreasonable things and remain incredulous to reasonable ones.

Evolution is doesn't explain abiogenesis (the origin of life) it explains what has happened to life since it first arose.
"When non-biologists talk about biological evolution they often confuse two different aspects of the definition. On the one hand there is the question of whether or not modern organisms have evolved from older ancestral organisms or whether modern species are continuing to change over time. On the other hand there are questions about the mechanism of the observed changes... how did evolution occur? Biologists consider the existence of biological evolution to be a fact. It can be demonstrated today and the historical evidence for its occurrence in the past is overwhelming. However, biologists readily admit that they are less certain of the exact mechanism of evolution; there are several theories of the mechanism of evolution. "

True. Unfortunately for the theory of evolution, any high school graduate with a logical or scientific bent can poke holes in this theory until the cows come home.
Of course, that doesn't mean that the theory of evolution is not true. It just means that it has not, and without a great deal of time *cannot*, be proven. Personally, I think evolution is likely to be true.

Evolution does not rest on the idea life spontaneously generated. It predicts this is possible, even probable, but not necessary for evolution to be true. In response to your other question, UCLA is currently doing the research, and has had some sucess, but findings won't be published for a few years now.

actually- an experiment was done in which a very similar substance to life was created... but that's not evolution- that's abiogenesis.
Evolution is a theory AND a fact. Its provable, but because it happens SO slowly, we can't truly observe it- leaving it a theory...which is good in itself. Theory is not a closed case. Its still open for new information... so Evolution in and of itself is a fact- we just don't know every single detail.

Are you seriously one of those people who believe that evolution is still just one of those theories floating around out there? Seriously?
I will judge you for that - I don't just for everything - but I WILL judge you for that. It says something about your intelligence. Do you know you sound like an idiot? To most everyone who doesn't believe in naked ladies and snakes... you sound ridiculous.

It is a statement that has been appearing for about a year now. It's a message delivered in faith. They cannot admit that, but that's what it is.
The Atheists who come here are the least of scientific people here.
That's my observation anyway.
