Blue room Productions is owned by Laurence Hobbs, who works as a songwriter, producer, manager, promoter and teacher. In 2001 together with Adam Barr, he started "Popshow" and in 2005 started an acoustic version, with Karla Celeste, "Acoustic show".
He is also a founder and director of Major music, a music development company for aspiring singers/writers.As a writer and producer, he has worked with many acts and writers including Lee Brennan (ex-911), Ray St John (‘Smooth operator- Sade’) 3SL (ex-Shalit global, Sony records) Shirlie Kemp (Wham! Pepsi & Shirlie) Pete Cunnah (D’ream) Howard New (Gareth Gates) Silibil and Brains (Sony records) Michael Garvin, (‘Waiting for tonight – Jennifer Lopez’) Paul Guardiani (19 publishing) Amanda Wilson (Freemasons) , Howard Toshman (Daphnie & Celeste/ Sweet female attitude)
He has had his songs covered around the globe and has received Platinum and Gold discs in Greece for their ‘Pop Idols’ Hi 5 for the production and co-writing of the song "Wase". His song " if you have to ask " written with Howard New and performed by American act, ‘Liquid Blue’ (www.liquid-blue.com) won first place in the 2004 Dallas songwriters contest in the Pop/Rock/Alt/R&B/Urban category. The song was also the Campaign Theme Song for 2004 United States Presidential Candidate Ralph Nader.
However, his greatest honour was to be asked to be a judge for the UK song at the 2004 Eurovision song contest!

There must be a spelling mistake in the name. I found LaurEnce Hobbs but he is not a painter.
