I will not say that it is normal. But sometimes children get like this. My daughter did this when she was two to four. I had a time with her. You know what I did, I put her in her room and let her scream. I could not fix it, she didn't stop either. She would just cry herself to sleep. She is 8 now and she still can throw a fit, but she is old enough that a spanking makes a difference. Back then it did not do a thing but make her madder. Don't give him the attention that he is wanting. Sometimes when you don't they will stop.

Yes, it's normal, but only to a point. He will continue with this behavior into school age if it isn't nipped in the butt right now. The terrible twos are the age when children need to learn who is boss, and it shouldn't be them.

Yes it's the terrible 2s. It blends right into the terrible 3s. Then it'll go away. It will come back however. Symptoms will appear when they're about 11 or early teens!!! ha-ha. Actually, it's not funny at all. I prefer the terrible 2s.

this is totally normal. acknowledge the fact that he is upset( I know you are mad.... Its too bad that you cant.....) Let him know that you understand his frustration and then ignore the behavior. The more attention you give to a tantrum, the more often he will have them. Remember, to remain calm and not to get frustrated with him. He is only two and figures this is the best way for him to express himself right now. When the tantrum is over, explain that if he wants or needs attention, to just ask for it, that throwing tantrums is not allowed.
