Do you say soda or pop??

And where are you from because I was wondering if location changed what you called it??

Well, I am from the Buckeye State, and I call it pop. I don't think I hear the word, soda very much, in these parts.

I'm from Kansas and we are in the dead center of the map.


Location has everything to do with it, I believe. I have noticed people from the South say "soda", while people from the North say "pop".

Pop here in Michigan but when I lived in Alabama and Texas it was soda.

Pop in northern Illinois, and soda in southern Illinois, and here in the UK, they call it 'juice'

Soft drink here in Australia or just the name of the drink itself such as Coke, Lemonade - Sprite, Fanta, Solo (Lemon Squash).

I call it soda. I'm in North Carolina but raised by Pennsylvanian parents. They call it pepsi regardless.

it's soda in buffalo,ny but in big cities like b-more and NYC its pop. i don't know why though
