So, I know I am pregnant and therefore hormonal, but today I was going through some closets and found a large box filled with sentimentals-the Memorial book from my Father's funeral (he died when I was a child), old love letters to/from my husband, my older children's baby books, etc. Now I am an emotional wreck!
I think I am going to share all of these things with my husband and children tonight, and then pack them back up for a future discovery.
Now I am wanting to finish going through all of the closets, to see what else I can find that I have forgotten about!

Yes! I am also pregnant and find myself doing this while watching a movie or even a commercial! I never used to do that before not even with my first child. I know how you feel!

Put that off for another time. Sure, you're hormonal and more prone to tears, but you don't need to deliberately provoke them. You said it made you an emotional wreck. Don't do it anymore. And don't share it with the family, because then you can be an emotional wreck X2.
The best thing right now is watching comedies on TV. Old series, new series, whatever. Nothing mysterious or stressful. Just something to make you laugh. That's going to make you the healthiest, happiest mom, and that goes for the baby, too.

I used to just cry when I was pregnant with my second child. For no apparent reason and at any time. I do not wish to frighten you but you might want to talk to your Dr. You may be missing some thing important from your diet. Or you may be experiencing some sort of depression. Who knows it might not be anything But that particular child of mine now has Bi-polar disease, And I do think it had to do with the crying all the time. I hope I'm wrong though. Happy pregnancy.

I suspect that you would be very emotional even if you weren't pregnant. The pain of losing a parent is something that never completely goes away. Sharing with your family is a great, theraputic way to handle it, and putting it away for another time is also wise.

Most definitely. I am not one to cry easily but I have discovered it is a great stress releaser. In the past I argued with my husband about the purpose of tears. He encouraged me to cry but I saw it as weakness. I have learned that it is okay to cry when I am overstressed and frustrated, as long as it is not used as a tool of manipulation. Too bad others haven't learned that lesson!

I don't like to cry a lot.
But when I do, I flat out bawl[sp]
It's ok to cry, especially if it's over your father that passed away and stuff like that.
