Okay, so I am taking a walk...I was on a trail beside apartment buildings (I was the only one walking), and I noticed these 2 guys standing in their balcony making loud kissing sounds. They kept at it, until I was out of sight. I felt like shouting at them saying GROW UP! But I could not think on my feet those few seconds, and just kept walking, feeling utterly disgusted & humiliated at their behavior.

What would you have done? What was the right thing to do to stop these disgusting, characterless guys from doing what they were doing.

Hi..thansk for your responses......everyone mentioned it was good to ignore. But don't you think it's the ignoring that would make then think it is OK to do what they were doing? Isn't a reaction what is really needed?

A reaction from you is exactly what they wanted. You really did do the right thing. The only thing you did wrong was to let their stupid behavior make you feel bad. Don't ever let some pig make you feel humiliated. Keep your head up and keep on walking. If it happens again with the same guys, you might want to report it to your apartment management. You have a right to not be harassed every time you leave your home.

Isn't it disgusting how some guys, think we actually enjoy that type of attention? I remember I was biking with my younger sister who was 13 at the time and I was 17, and these guys who were on top of this skate ramp were being lik " oh youre hot baby", whistling, and my LITTLE SISTER was there. I couldn't see the guys since I wasn't wearing my glasses, but my sis said they were about 20(ew).

All I did was ride off and ignore them, since if you react then they feel like they've accomplished what they wanted. Don't even give them the satisfaction. It annoys them more when you act like you don't care.

Ignoring them was the right thing. They wanted attention and a response. Its better not to give them that because it would only make them continue.

Who do you think you are anyhow ? You have no idea why these men allegedly decided to make those noises at that particular time. They could just be amusing themselves girl. It's just that you decided that you were the "target" of the alleged noises because of your low self esteem & sick desire for attention. Stop flattering yourself ! We advise you to cease & desist trying to create trouble out of innocent noise. Stop attempting to make people believe you were victimized. you have no case here. People in positions of authority will laugh at you. It's broads like you that are the troublemakers. Deal with it & get over it girl.

I used to run a construction company. Any of my guys would have been sacked for harassing somebody like that.

That is the correct response - nothing. They are only trying to get you to react. If it happens again, contact the building superintendant.

That was rude and childish of them. Some people just need to grow up. BUT i don't think i would go so far as calling it sexual harrasement. That term gets thrown around way to carelessly these days. I'm sorry they made you feel the way they did. it was very rude of them and gives a bad name to men.

You can't stop idiots like that. And you were right to ignore them, I'm sure they were trying to get you to react.

Fueling there ignorant chanting will only make them do it again. Ignoring them was your best option.

No, you can't stop them.

Any reaction would let them know they're getting to you, which means they win.
