Yes, you can. It might take some research to find out where you can take the specific degree, but you could put together a good background for charitable work at almost any college.

Doing a search for "getting a major in charitable work" I found results for: utexas.edu/student/careercenter/careers/man.pdf. This same information should be available at the websites of most universities. Also, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, at: gatesfoundation.org does a great deal of charitable work. You might write or email them and ask about the degrees of people who work for their foundation.

Sure, there are many majors that deal with helping people!

I would suggest Hospitality, not knowing what kind of help you mean.

Yes, enroll in social work but actually you can help people whatever degree you may have, it's just a matter of how you want to help.
