we were at work , (i work in a restaraunt) and were sitting in a booth talking about babies, one of the coworkers brought her baby, he is adorable, but i dont think all babies are adorable so i said that and this one guy got upset and he said i think all babies are beautiful and i think he said i dont know what babies you're looking at , but anyways, its my opinion, so i dont know why he got upset, he's 24 and i just turned 20 , i also said i would like to adopt and not have kids and i wasnt even talking to that guy but he butted in and said why and i told him i think the process of having kids is nasty and he argued with me that's nature, but why would he care? no he's not my bf, hes acquintances/friends with me and i work with him

I agree with you on the adopting children instead of having my own... but for different reasons. However, you are right. There are some babies that are just plain ugly. There is no excuse and I have seen some that just make me feel bad for the parents. Of coarse all life is beautiful for what it is... but come on... there is always a few ugly ones in the bunch.

Because he's a guy, if a guy doesn't like what someone says they all get bu tt hurt. I agree with you, not all babies are cute, I'm not rude, i don't tell the parents their child is ugly, but i'm not going to lie and say they are gorgeous. I cna't say anything about having kids cuz I do, but I used to say I would never have them. Don't let him talk you down stand your ground your opinion is your opinion whether someone agrees with you or not.

Why do you car so much what he thinks? Personally, I would never let anyone deny me my opinion. If I have something to say then I'll say it, you can disagree but I will have the respect for having the opinion. Don't back down. He argue the point, you must argue its you right to an opinion.

Some people are naturally rude and sensitive. I could see my ex butting in with that same argument.
Let this roll off your back. Next time, however, if he feels he needs to put in his two cents, you can pointedly tell him, "Excuse me, but I wasn't talking to you." Repeat this message until he gets the message through his thick skull. This may take several tries.

Sometimes people react so immature because they are subconsciously sensitive of their unhappy past. I think he don't have a happy childhood. Think about that. You will never know until you know the whole story behind ones person's past. Is his parents divorce or is he a stepchild, things like that. So cheer up, life is larger than you but you can conquer it by being open minded :)

While everyone is entitled to their opinion some make sure everyone knows about them, not to mention others still have a harder time then some to control the level of the intensity with which they experience these emotions. l myself do believe ALL babies are beautiful but not all of them are visually appealing.
Lets face it 95% of them all come out lookin like winston churchill.
l know my son did hahaha

Well I will agree with you on your opinion...he didn't respect your view on it, so be the bigger person and respect his. I can't tell you why he got upset...maybe he is just passionate about the issue. He is right though, it is nature, but this is the same nature that brought you the dung beetle that crawls in poop all day lol.

some people are just very uptight about the whole "All babies are beautiful" thing. Some people think it's just plain wrong to call a baby "ugly"
Now, I would never, ever, ever tell a parent "Wow, your baby looks...funny" - however, I have seen some funny-looking babies!!! You couldn't call them "ugly" ... I mean, they're babies, right? but they're almost laughable, bless their little hearts...

It sounds to me like he was just looking to argue. Some people just like to start stuff. Others just can't handle hearing an opinion that they disagree with. He probably falls into one of those categories. Either way, you're entitled to your opinion just as much as he is.

sometimes ppl get offended when you dont have the same views as they do. im 24 and i would not have been as bold as you to say that but i would definitely think it. but i know that when i witness someone being rude or saying mean things i get upset because im a christian and you just dont say those things. next time i say keep the mean words to your thoughts. and remember not everyone has the same views.
