I hate it when someone asks a completely innocent question, such as who won the Stanley Cup...and people walk all over them and insult them for asking the question. I thought the philosophy was "there are no stupid questions". What happened to that.?

You are right there are no stupid questions except for the one not asked. Unfortunatly there are alot of stupid, ignorant, rude people who chose to answer said question.
I feel sorry for you in a way because you know those same people are about to attack you.

I agree with you 100%, I wish there was no such thing as mean and hatfull people in this world, but I have to deal with rude people everyday in my line of work. I just try to ingnore them the best that I can, and Thank God for the nice ones that come into my life.

As the saying "There are no small jobs, only small people" goes, so then goes "There are no stupid questions" followed by "only stupid people" (which seems to be constantly omitted from this saying). A question posed in an attempt to gain knowledge because one is lacking it isn't stupid in itself, but the person might be stupid in posing it if the ability to obtain the answer to it is easily and readily to be had elsewhere. Some people note this to be the case and answer accordingly.

Well, there ARE no stupid questions... BUT there ARE stupid people. Unfortunately that's a fact of life. Some people are so insecure within themselves that the only way that they can feel good is to try to make others feel bad. We shouldn't think anything about it, we should only feel pity for them.

And I agree on you, people should be more understanding, but unfortunately, they aren't.

i kno wut u mean!!! i dont know who won the stanley cup either!that is deff not a dumb ? Seriously i think it is a bunch of ppl who don't have a life and are being rude on a computer because they don't know how to be rude to someone in person when they get their feelings hurt. It is their way of making their self feel better...pathetic i know!!!!

what is a sad but true is that manny people are jerks with i have an inferiority complex so they need to try and belittle someone for their own feeling of self worth, just remember that when somone acts this way its becouse their insecure about them self and need to grow up.

not just the insult but some people are using the y!a like a chat client, asking yes-no questions and sending just one link etc
