To contract HIV you must exchange bodily fluids into the bloodstream. For you to get it via a scratch is highly unlikely unless someone touches an open wound with their blood or semen, etc...

In other words, no, you're chances are pretty much zero in this case.

If it bothers you, go get tested.

HIV is not an easy virus to contact it has to be basically a blood to blood contact, or other body fluid contact. So in theory if you are scratched and it breaks the skin and then some how gets their blood mixed with yours then it could happen.

no you cant. and it has never happened.heres the deal , alot of people dont understand this, yes it comes from blood but if the blood is exposed to air even for a second the virus dies, so even if there blood smeared on your scratch you wouldn't get HIV. the reason why you can get it from sex or from sharing a needle is because that blood goes directly from them to you without having been touch by air. you can get hepatitis from getting scratched but you will never get HIV that way.

No HIV can only be contracted through direct contact with bodily fluids of someone who has HIV. So it won't happen through a scratch nor will it go through if it just lands on your skin.

It has to be spread through bodily fluids. So after getting scratched (and breaking the surface) the person would also have to bleed directly into you.

Honey ... I'm guessin' your like 15 14 something in the teen range. When you have sex, oral, vaginal, anal sex with someone infected with HIV that's when you get it, when you exchange fluids. A fingernail isn't a fluid so i'd have to say no.

If the were bleeding in the same place as were they scratched you and their blood mixed with your blood, then it could happen.
