Anyone that has ever worked around immigrants, I believe, would say they are EXCELLENT workers! I do not think anyone would argue that.
I've had many friends that were managers of certain places that used illegal alien workers. There work was always excellent. They are hard workers and provide great quality!
The problem is all of the other areas (healthcare, schools, infrastructure, etc.).

Yes, Immigrants are doing some great things in America. Legal immigrants from all over the world do vital work here in America - they're doctors, engineers, scientists, teachers, knowledge workers, and virtually anything else you can imagine a person being or doing - my boss and half my co-workers have come here from other countries to live and work, and have become American citizens. And, as over-hyped as 'diversity' is, it really is pretty cool to live and work in a cosmopolitan region with people of every description.
Illegal aliens are a different story, of course...

Immigrants are doing good things like the 3D jobs(dirty, dangerous and degrading). Immigrants are people too. They acquired immigrating legally. Those who are doing X are illegals but not 100%. I am an immigrant here, but I contribute socially through teaching good morals as an example. Just be positive , abide by the laws, and you have done your part if you are immigrants.

The Nazi Germans we brought here after the war help us manufacture nifty weapons like rockets.
EDIT>>> DARN no thumbs down yet.
The brain drain from other companies help us fill much need medical employees particularly doctors which are in short supply and we lack the sufficient qualified people to become doctors.
Stealing the brightest has fueled our economy like the computer industry.
Rich immigrants bring in money to help build our economy
Immigrants has different outlook in life and therefore help give a varied view in business. THey often help in trade since they understand things in a way we can't. Particularly people of other culture. THey have connection that also help us export goods.

Yes immigrants were/are the backbone of this country, They brought knowledge, skills, ohhh the food! mmm, mmmm. They have contributed so very much to the U.S. My negative is not immigrants...it is people here illegally. Now illegals just come here to make demands and suck us dry. There is a huge difference between immigrants and illegals! We do not need more criminals in this country, we have enough of our own already.

One of the two founders of Google was an immigrant, surely you haven't forgotten Einstein, and one reason we have more Nobel Laureattes teaching at our universities than any other country is because we attract the best from around the world.
Have faith. It is only illegal immigration that is the problem.

slew is right about the brain drain.

I work in the hospitality industry. My hotels employ MANY immigrants in a variety of jobs from Upper Management to Hourly positions. They are ALL here LEGALLY, and they have the papers and back-up to prove it (or my company would not hire them). Many have become US Citizens, and the rest have current valid work visas.
They are from Mexico, Peru, Argentina, England, Canada, Russia, Poland, Hungary, India, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Jamaica, Belize, Egypt, Israel, Morocco, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand and more.
They are hard working, law-abiding citizens, they bring a richness to the customer service in my hotels, and to my life that I truly appreciate.

Of course they are doing good things. The vast majority of them are. I'm not sure if what they do benfits yourself but they are doing well. Take Albert Pujols for example. I'm sure people have soemthing to say about the athletes that make millions off of us and noth bother learning the language. Pujols did. He even got a perfect score on his citizenship test. Everyday new men and women become citizens.

i agree they do work hard... but that's all the good i can see they drain public health care government resources and are destroying our society in the end, i live in California and any English speaking American can not get a job cause they do not know Spanish ( Mexican ) our streets are run down trash is every were, and there are gangs on every street LA is just a example majority of the smaller city's are even worse then LA, crime is abundant they have no sense of realization or any respect for laws at all, and above what they say they are the most racist people there is of course you cant say that about every one of them but the majority rules
EDIT: i just Realized what you said was Immigrants what I'm speaking of is the Illegal Mexican Criminals

I have no complaints about immigrants...it's illegal aliens that so many have a problem with and part of it is that people don't get that we are differentiating between the two..
