Ok I'm a 15 year old girl, just to get that out of the way. For the last year or so things have become missing from my house, mainly mystuff. Stuff like my C.Ds to like my bras etc. A few months ago someone was in our backyard like @ 2 o'clock at night, my parents called the cops but they didnt find whoever it was. Then I went into my shead the other day and it was filled with girl clothes and porn mags, I ran in and told my parents and they once again called the cops, and they couldn't find the guy. Now the other night like 3 or 4 days ago I went into the kitchen and I looked out the window onto the porch, and I swear I saw someone with glasses looking in @ me, and it freaked me out! Then last night I looked out my window and I saw what looked like the same guy, he had glasses and all. Then this morning my parents got in the car and the glove department was open and all the stuff was thrown everywhere. I'm sooo scared and I dont know what to do.

Dear God,
WE bring before you today the heavy heart of one of our dear friends The Unicorn Revolt. Dear Lord, there seems to be some great distrubance at her house and someone disturbing the peace and safety of a place that she once called home. Dear God we ask that this bery moment you put your angels of protection around her house and her family as you did with Joshua in the Bible. We trust that all shall be taken care of in Your name,
Amen.
God will take care of you don't worry. Get your parents to install some motion dectors out in your front and backyard, also some home security system with ADT will work some wonders. Security cameras will help you catch the guy on video and send the tape to the police.
Also describe the man that you saw to the police and then get them to check the sex offender and see if the description adds up. Also did the police not run a fingerprint scan on the magazines or something?
Good Luck and God Bless.

I agree that you should get the extra strength pepper spray and keep it with you always. And don't go anywhere alone, especially at night.
And your parents apparently need to invest in a home security system, like Briggs, and better locks.
You might want to take a self defense course. Most martial arts academies have a one or two day seminar for women's self defense. You can look them up on the web. And you might want to learn Brazilian Jui-Jitsu if you have the time.
And don't forget to pray. Jesus will take care of you.

Regarding the idea from “American” that you place tack strips on the top of the fence -- this actually sounds like a good idea, but I would not use anything more dangerous than that. It is illegal to make a trap that could actually harm someone (carpet tacks should be OK), and you could actually get sued by the criminal if you put him into the hospital. Ask a lawyer before you go around placing electric fences, or anything that might be dangerous.

You need to stop only calling the cops when you actually see the guy. You need to call them sometime during the day and ask them to come around and really check out your place. Police are trained to look for signs that someone has been there, what they were doing, and whether or not it looks like they're intending to come back. Have them investigate the scene. Also, if there is a registered sex offender in your neighborhood, the police are allowed to question him about his activities at ANY time for ANY reason, and would probably do so. Be safe. Get the police involved asap.

Tell your parents to invest in a gun and classes on how to use it.
But really though this is extremely disturbing. I know a girl who lived in a house with all girls and had some guy who was jumping over the wall into thier backyard and peeping in on them. the cops were never there fast enough. and she was scared. They ended up taking some tack strips that would be used for carpeting (the wood strips that have long staples sticking point side out to hold the carpet down) and glued it to the top of the wall around the back yard. the next night they heard someone scream in pain. when they checked the next morning one of the strips was pulled up toward the outside of the wall and there was a little trickle of blood. they got that bastard and he never came back. if this is impossible then something else must be done. if he went in the car than he trespassed and may be possible for the police to get some fingerprints off the glove box? if he is getting in your house thats burglary and the cops should be investigating it. if he keeps coming back every night then there should probably be a cop cruising the neighborhood to find out whats going on. you may consider setting up a video camera near your bed. one of those with night vision and all. next time you see him grab the camera zoom in on him with night vision and get a really good shot of his face for police to go by. he will keep coming back till he gets caught and if it is the child molester then he should go to jail and hopefully get killed in there because prisoners dont like child molesters. I really hope you are able to get this problem fixed. Good luck
Also... maybe you should ask your folks to start locking doors like the shed and the car? How is he getting into those place? and how is noone noticing girls clothes and porn in the shed?

Legally this person has to list there name and has to tell you if you go door to door. I am not saying that it is the same person, you may just have a peeping Tom. But both cases are really scary. Now this may seem scary to do, but if you suspect that he is peeping again, take a picture from INSIDE your house. If everything is locked he won't be able to get in, but if you snap a good picture of him, cops will have an easier time tracking him down. And if by chance he is the sex offender, he could be facing some jail time, or have to move. I wouldn't suggest that you go buy a gun or anything, but without a doubt make a call to the cops if you really feel threatened, and tell them he is trying to break in, they tend to be a bit faster on the fly when you tell them that. Hope this helps.

Well there isn't much you can do. Maybe your family should think about getting a security system. Make sure you have a phone on you at all times. And make sure everything is always locked before you go to bed. And close all the blinds in the house. If I was you I would look around and see if he has your housed bugged. Meaning he has listening devices set up in places so he can here you guys. Just check around. But your family should seriously think about getting a security system for your own saftey.

Find out what the description of the child molester is and see if it matches what you've been seeing. If its close let the police know and they can start an investigation on that guy. Also make sure to lock your doors and windows at night.

get a private investagator and put up security cameras. dont worry i bet ull catch him just make sure to lock all doors and windows and if u dont have a security system like adt or something get one and leave it on at ALL times! that way if the person gets in at any time the alarm will go off and he will run away. plus if u have the p.i. and the cameras ull be able to find out who it is. Hope this helps!

Have your parents install lights with motion-detectors in your front and back yard, and on the porch. Lock the shed and the car. Keep your bedroom windows closed and locked.
Maybe even have your parents install little video cameras outside to film whoever it is.
And keep calling the cops whenever you need to. Ask to speak to a detective and explain what's happening.
Good luck honey. I hope you stay safe!

hmm everyones answer is so much better than mine.
its good to know your parents know about it. I like American's answer you should do that.
i dont know if this would work but if you are so freaked out maybee you should leave your windows wide open and go sleep in your parents room on an air matress or sleeping bag or something then if he comes back he might think you left or something i dont know.
i think you should also definitely let your parents read over all these answers to see what you guys should decide on.
ill pray for you. God bless.
