There's not a bit of historical evidence that he did, but if he did, would it make a difference? Not to me.

It's possible that Jesus was married and had children. Indeed given the social mores of the time, it would have been scandalous for Jesus NOT to have a wife and kids.
However, as we were not there - and the only accounts we have are spotty at best - having been written some years after Jesus' death and resurection - and then translated (badly) through several languages to get to what is accepted as the Bible (the King James version) we will never know.
On the other hand, why just not accept a few questions without answers and focus instead on the powerful message of hope for a life everlasting that Jesus tried to convey?

looks like we'll never know in this life. interesting to speculate about. Any 30 year old man with no wife would have been seen as pretty controversial: then again, he was a pretty controversial guy! Having said that, it's not so important; following the teachings is the main thing!

Yes and No because think about it. He was on earth to redeem the world so if you were going to die at age 33 why would you have a wife.... Knowing all of that. His wife was his church in whole and we all are his kids

300 years after he died, when his life story was written in stone, he was given no wife or kids for 2 reasons. One is to stop people from searching out his offspring, and the other is that if people knew that he has a wife and kids, it would have been even more difficult to find men perverted enough to become celibate catholic priests.

remember that he told the rich man to give up "everything" and follow him. don't go back and say good by or anything. there is no mention of Jesus or any of his followers being married. And even Paul who professed his celibacy made reference to Jesus being the same. so the biblical evidence suggest no.

Did Jesus have a wife and kids?
What if he did? For the sake of argument, suppose he did.
Does that somehow make his message of forgiveness and kindness irrelevant?
Or do people want their idol so badly that they can't think for themselves?

Depends on what gospel you're reading. The Gnostic texts are just as valid as the canonical ones. If Jesus was a Torah following Jew, he would have been married, according to their laws. Jesus came to reform Judaism, not to start a new religion.

I never cease to be amazed how so many can ignore the Bible, the teachings of the Church, and the ancient scripture without even researching it.
Yet read an admitted FICTIONAL book, or watch a FICTIONAL movie, and blindly accept it as fact.
We need to learn faith with our grown up minds.
Peace be with you!
