Short answer: yes.

Long answer: The Bible is an ancient text that was used to bring order to an otherwise chaotic world. Many of its teaching and principles are old and outdated. Unfortunately it can't be updated, only mistranslated more (and even if it was updated, it wouldn't change the fact that all it is is a collection of fairy tales.)

The Bible is just about as relevant as any fairy tale, thats why my short answer is yes.

harry potter is pretty relevant to society, but not more than the bible. I'm not even christian, but I believe that the bible is a great guide, as well as the torah, quran, Bhagavad gita, and all the other great scriptures of the world. They all show the way to live purely

harry potter has many references to the bible and of modern society. I always thought of Voldemort as a "Hitler" figure, and the seventh book confirmed my thoughts. The wizarding world became almost like a Nazi Germany with the Death Eaters as Nazis, and thoughts of the "greater good" as revealed in the seventh book, meaning the persecution of anyone not in the "Pure Blood" race. In terms of the bible, Harry Potter has been the ultimate sacrificer, once again revealed in the 7th book, as well as a few other characters i do not want to reveal. I believe that the fact that the harry potter books emphasize love, which voldemort could not understand, represented the morality that Christ taught his disciples.

I think that harry potter and the bible are both relevant to society with powerful but different messages.

The HP series is a juxtapositions of good against evil with moral lessons include. While a different type of writing from another world view, the relevance would be the same.

Isn't just about everything? Although, I do not think that religions should be based off of Harry Potter. The morality principals of the books are better though.

He is real!

He says not to deal with witch craft!

Witches use Witch craft!

J.K. Rowling gets those spells from real witches!

Em... no.

Harry potter is a fantasy novel series (one which I thoroughly enjoyed, btw). The bible is a religious text.

Your question is kind of like asking whether chicken or beef would be better in your fruit salad.
