You can skip the nuts. I bake a lot and I have never found a recipe that absolutely requires nuts. If you want to substitute something, you can try adding dried fruit like raisins, cranberries or apricots or you could add chocolate chips. But really, you don't have to add anything if you don't want to.

You can nearly always omit nuts from a recipe without needing to substitute. Unless it's a recipe for some type of coating for pan-frying, in which case omitting could possibly cause problems with the recipe. That's the only time that I can think of omitting nuts to be a problem.

Substitute (I do not like nuts and made for people that I was unsure of their allergies), graham crackers (read the label, some graham crackers have nut product, most don't) crushed up to about the same amount called for in nuts for the recipe. I got the best compliments and still have one of the mothers begging me to make "those cookies" again. I used in Chocolate Chip, a little bit in Oatmeal Raisin just to add that little j'ne sais quoi. Hope you like it.

You can always omit the nuts unless it is a recipe specifically calling for nuts as the main ingredient such as a Pecan Pie. Sometimes I don't have nuts in my pantry so I just skip them when I'm too lazy to drive to the store. It works fine.

Yes!This is how great new recipes come about. Some one substitutes one ingredient for another. My family deals with being allergic to all kinds of food and other stuff.(dust mites etc.) Be creative. I don't know what you are making. But just think to yourself, what goes good with the other ingredients? Add that and see what happens.

You can just leave them out. It won't affect the fudge. In most recipes the nuts are optional anyway. They're just for people who enjoy it with nuts.

I, too am very allergic to nuts. I don't add them nor do I usually substitute. Sometimes I'll add diced dried fruit.

what are you making? they're not essential, but will impact upon the overall taste. obviously if you're allergic it's not a good idea to put them in! depending on what you are making, maybe substitute some raisins.

You do not need the nuts nor do you need to substitue them with something else. I don't like most nuts and have always eliminated them unless it's one I like.

Omit the nuts... you won't get the nutty taste, but you're allergic.
