I have a pit bull and my sister has an English Bulldog, she has gone through so much with her dog as far as health issues. Respiratory problems, heart problems, hip dysplacia, and others. My dog is perfectly healthy but I get a lot of crap from people wherever we go because Pit Bulls are very misunderstood and they have a bad reputation. Pit Bulls are more energetic than Bull Dogs, they need more exercise but not as much as other dogs like Labs, etc. Neither of the dogs shed which is good, they are easily groomed. THey're both good for city living. I love both breeds and our dogs get a long very well. I'd have to say that my pit bull is better with kids. Just in this case. I love, love, love my pit. It's a great breed!!

This is a little humorous. They are the same breed. They came from the same family. The only difference is that bull terriers are are the original pit bull breed and they have been bred to the point where they stopped looking like the breed originally. The pit bull was labled. but they are still the same breed, just physically different. A dog of any breed is not better than another, it is how you raise them.

Properly raised and socialized both dogs have great personalities. If you referring to the English Bulldog they require more care than a Pitbull. Because of their pushed in faces Bulldogs are prone to respiratory problems, they also tend to get some nasty skin conditions if not properly cared for. They are a high maintenance breed.

I prefer American Bulldogs to either Pitbulls or English Bulldogs. ABs do tend to have allergies being a mostly white dog but are friendlier and better with dogs than pits tend to be. Eng Bulldogs are a walking health problem that can not breath, bred or whelp on it's own.

Kind of a tricky question being that pittbulls are actually a type of bull dog. I have known many pitts that were great dogs. I have also know many bulldogs that were great dogs, lol. I raise Alapaha Bulldogs so obviously I am a bit partial to them.

Pitbulls have the reputation but bulldogs have a ton of health isses. You have to make sure to keep all their wrinkles clean and not let them run to much so they dont overheat. My uncle has one and he is absolutely awesome but a lot of work. I've never been around a pitbull but they look really cool. I'm sure you wouldn't have any behavioral issues if you got it as a puppy and trained/socialized it properly.

Depends on your preference on dogs, I assume that bulldogs are generally more lazy then pitbulls. Also bulldogs are more prone to breathing problems(more snoring). Otherwise it is all a matter of perference. I personally prefer a bulldog. Possibly plan on getting one a couple of years for a playmate for my dobie.

i like pits because they have such a horrible reputation its fun to raise them correctly and dispel myths-- i also like that they have far less medical problems such as skin conditions and breathing problems-- they are more active and love to be goofy-- on the other hand if you like to be indoors and have extra money an English bulldog may be good for you

Bull dog! They are sweet and good natured! Pit-bulls have "issues", I don't care what anyone says!
