Um...take an astrology class, that'll explain it...but here's something for you, the sun is powered gases that bash against each other, and when that happens fusion (or fission..can never remember the difference between the two) occurs and light is produced, and since Sol has so much gas in it, it'll continue to burn for a few more million (or billion) years until it goes nova...but since I'm sure the human race will all be gone by that time (either by the "Rapture" or nuclear war...) we have nothing to worry about with that...
