The metal taste can get into your tea if you use stainless steal. The tanic acid causes an odd reaction. Its best to use glass or ceramic.

You can brew tea just fine in stainless - although some believe it imparts a "tinny taste" - I have never had any trouble with it. Glass is preferred mostly because it has no taste at all. Really it is up to you and what you have on hand. Hope this helped.

Go glass. The metal will make your tea taste like the stainless--icky.
