I was thinking, when school starts, to have a small bowl of fruit salad alongside a handfull of nuts since its not messy and the only thing that doesn't get stuck in my braces. Would this be unhealthy? (I always eat healthy)

You say you always eat healthy, yet you have to ask us if fruit and nuts is a healthy lunch... I don't know if you know what eating healthy IS.

Fruit salad and handful of nuts for lunch is perfect. But it's a fact that people who restrict themselves to only 1 food or kind of food fail sooner and more often at their "diets" because they feel more resentful because they get bored of the same food all the time.

There are LOTS of healthy foods out there that you can have for lunch. And if it gets stuck in your braces, bring a toothbrush.

That sounds like a good lunch.. Although, I thought that with having braces you weren't suppossed to eat nuts.. ? Though it's been a long time since I've had braces. Maybe, have a yogurt to get your calcium... Also, you might want to consider keeping a toothbrush and toothpaste in your locker to use after lunch so that your braces are clean and your teeth and gums are healthy.... Just a suggestion..

Yes. That would be very healthy. You could also add vegetalbe salads to your diet. Eating raw fruits and vegetables is very healthy. Check out this link for more information. www.5to10aday.com
