I was thinking about suggesting to my drummer to put water on his drums and cymbals for shows so that when he plays them it would create a nice misty splashing effect.

Is this actually any good for the drum heads to have water on them?

absolutely not. his drums will bow...but then again if he's a drummer and he doesnt know this...well...he shouldnt be playing drums then. your not even supposed to have drums in humid places because of what it can do to your drums...common sense...common sense.

i dont think a little water would hurt if he cleaned them afterwards. but that would just be a pain.
