Gee everyone. Let's sit down and think about this one. I know! How's about you take him to the vet? Brilliant!

take him to the vet. he likely needs antibiotics and the vet will stain the eye to make sure there isn't a scratch. However, there are other dangers to letting your cat out, especially if he is fighting with other cats. First, if he's not neutered, get him neutered. Second, cat fighting can cause pockets of infections in the wounds, called abscesses. They will have a pus like discharge and smell very foul, need to be put on antibiotics for that and have it drained. Also two very serious cat diseases are spread by fighting, FeLV and FIV. Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS. Both are very serious and can often lead to untimely death of the cat and many other health problems as they weaken the immune system. Please Have your cat tested for these diseases, and it's a good idea to keep him indoors.

I would take your cat to the vet, and they'll give you eye drops for him. It shouldn't cost more that $100. If you want to, first try to clean around the edges his eye, and hold a warm compress (warm water on a paper towel or clean cloth) on it for about 5 minutes (if he'll let you). The warm water will bring out anything that's in the eye. Then you can see if the eye really is scratched, and how bad. But I would take him to a vet no matter what. Even if there's no scratch, you're still going to need eye drops. Good Luck!!

get him to a vet as quickly as you can. if his eye is infected he could go blind or worse yet need to have his eye removed. keep him in the house. would you let you child run wild at night and have little adventures??? cats do not need to go outdoors. I have had many cats and not one of them ever went back outside once the came in to my home. They lived long healthy lives and were very content and loving.

Its an ifections take him to the vet he needs antibiotics or wait and see if it heals on its own, you never know though untreated could cause him to lose his sight, dont let him out while his eye is ifected other cats will sense that as weak or sick and they will attack him more.
There is a stray little cat that we feed outside we call her snaggle tooth! But she has came up to our house looking like half her face has been chewed up or smashed or something!!!! Very sad but we could not catch her to take her into the vet, and she lived and looks normal agin. Hopefully your cat will be fine!

You really need to take him to the vet to have that checked out. If he is getting into fights with other cats you may want to consider keeping indoors at night. He can get FIV or FIP from fighting and there are no known cures or vaccines that work for those diseases.

Good luck!

What you can do for your cat is go to the vet. This has happened to my cat too. They will give you some cream to put in your cats eye. It is very simple, but if you want your cats eye to get better bring him to the vet.

Clean his cuts with mild soap and water (tearless baby shampoo works) then take the animal to the vet - injuries that cause infection in the eye can cause blindness and scar tissue!!! If you cannot afford it, then call the vets office and make payment arrangments.

Take it to the vet and make sure nothing is infected. Then only let it out if ur with it so it wont get hurt anymore. (BUt you'll have to keep it away from those cats or you might gget hurt too.)

Typical male cat. TERRITORIAL! Guarding and fighting for the area he SAYS IS HIS!! The is probably at least one or more females in the area that is in heat, ready for breeding and he just like the other males wants to be the one to be first. Does he yowl or cry alot outside or when wanting to go outside? If so.. SHE IS THE REASON.

Keep him inside at night. Other cats are just one risk. So are dogs and wild animals like coyotes. I can't tell you how many cats in my area have been killed by coyotes and we are in a suburban setting.

And he needs to see a vet.
