I'm tired of reading about chili, or swiss-steak, pot roast, etc.
I haven't seen any good, unique slow-cooker ideas.
Anybody have a family recipe that you can't find in a book?

Roast-meat hoagies are a favorite in our household
Slow-cook a 2lb-5lb beef or venision roast (depending on how many people you're feeding, etc.) with garlic, seasoning salt and onion. When roast is cooked through and fork tender (about 6-8 hours) pour off any accumulated juice and the onion (we keep that juice and freeze it for soup). Shred the meat and return it to the crockpot, add 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 can cheddar cheese soup and 1 can of drained mushrooms and pieces. Allow to cook for about an hour so flavors meld and everything is heated through. Serve on hoagie buns with sliced Cheddar cheese.

I made stuffed cabbage rolls last week.

CROCK-POT CABBAGE ROLLS

12 lg. cabbage leaves
1 beaten egg
1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. minced onion
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. ground turkey (I use ground beef)
1 c. cooked rice
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. pepper

Immerse cabbage leaves in large pot of boiling water for about 3 minutes or until limp; drain. Combine egg, milk, onion, salt, pepper, turkey and cooked rice. Place about 1/4 cup meat mixture in center of each leaf; fold in sides and roll ends over meat. Place in crock pot. Combine tomato sauce with brown sugar, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over cabbage rolls. Cover and cook on low 7-9 hours.

Meatballs!
Just make sure you put plenty of liquid, either a mix of BBQ sauce
or and apricot jam works well.
