Im a healer and a psi-vamp... I can heal by taking away the negative energies away from a person.... But, it affects me by throwing my natural balance out of whack, causing me to act strangely.

Because you haven't yet learned to let the removed energies out of your own energy aura. I would suggest not doing anymore healing until you have learned this, otherwise you will damage your own life force. Attempt earthing techniques, then connection to the cosmic oneness.

You are absorbing the negative energy from others. You must be a trained and qualified healer before you really heal others or else you might be taking away the learning lessons from that particular person. No wise to do that if you do not know how to discharge the negatively or resolve it.

You are doing it wrong girlie. a good book on Reiki will help you to dissolve the neggies and sometimes just washing your hands real well and using a protective oil when you are done should help too. Put up your protection befor you heal so you dont absorb.

Try seeking out a teacher in the healing arts- Reiki comes to mind - so they can teach you how to channel that energy out of the other person but not take it onto yourself, instead let it pass through intot he ground.
Also, try grounding after you do this for someone - eat a little something, drink a little something, go outside and sit on the ground and let that excess energy flow out of you and into the ground.

I think there will always be an imbalance when applying your energies or absorbing energies from others. It is a trade off of your ability. All abilities come with a price.
