in the restaurants when trying to revive day old cuts of prime rib we would cover the meat with romaine lettuce and microwave until warm... good luck

Honey, if you paid $35 bucks for a steak, either your date was really hot, or you were really drunk and with a credit card, right? Don't re-heat it in the microwave (for the love of god, please dont) grab:

bell peppers
carrots
romaine lettuce
potatoes
olive oil

wash, chop and mix together, grab a pan, heat it up, pour in the olive oil (not a lot, just coat the bottom) and do it up stir fry style. Dont forget the salt, pepper, garlic powder and a lemon wedge.

They aren't really good reheated, so I slice them up, make gravy (either homemade or mix), put them in and heat them up until warm. Good over noodles, in a baked potato, on on top of mashed potatoes. They are also great cold as a salad. Just slice, season with whatever you'd like, tear up butter lettuce, romaine or some good leafy greens, slice a tomato, dice a green onion and toss with the steak and a good dressing.

I'm a steak lover. One suggestion is re-firing the grill. warming on the top rack, so its not directly over the flame. Second, pre-heat your oven to 350, place on top rack wrapped in foil for 15 minutes. Third, the cheap way, re-heat in the micro, or eat in a sandwich.

There are a couple of good ways to enjoy steak a 2nd time - you could slice in strips and re-fry in a hot pan a butter serve with fried eggs and toast - or if you want it for supper serve with potatoes fried with a little green pepper (you can get them in the freezer section of your grocer) if you want it lighter serve reheated strips over a crisp salad with raspberry vinaigrette.

I would use an iron skillet or griddle on top of the stove and heat it for a couple of minutes on each side.
