Help with emulators?

I am trying to get on a couple different emulators ut for some reason mY computer is not downloading them right. When I try to run them I keep getting the runaround. I have all updated and proper software to run them, but for some reason, no go. Can anyone help me?

It might help if you stated in your question what emulator(s) your speaking of??? There are many good emulators and many that are scams that get you to download a bug/trojan/virus.
