to convince me to go to their church even though I already go to a Temple(means Protestant church for you ignoramuses). They keep on asking me over and over again if I believe in God and I say yes, but they keep on bothering me when I go to the laundry mat. It shows how some Christians are huh? How do I get these people off my back? Its like they're trying to force their religion on me! Thats what they were trying to do with my mom who isn't christian and at first it was cool but they asked me where I lived and all that. I didn't tell them my mom wasn't Christian because it wasn't any of their buisness but they are always knocking on her door since they found out she wasn't Christian. How do I tell them to back off in a nice way?

Are you born again? Are you born of His Spirit, cleansed by His Blood, joint heirs with King Jesus & part of the family of God?

If you are, you can pray to God directly in spirit & truth about Church. Make sure that the Church is founded on Gods Truth found in the Holy Bible. And not adding the false doctrines.

Simply tell them that you're a Christian, you're happy with the way your walk is going, you're happy with your church, and the last thing your mom needs is people trying to force their religion on her. Tell them you're praying for her, and trying to show her how a Christian is supposed to be.

I know what you mean though. I've had some Christians tell me I should belong to this or that denomination. Well, I'm perfectly happy NOT having a denomination.

You say, "Back off and have a nice day." They're doing what they believe is their duty- trying to win souls to Jesus. Unfortunately, because of the fact that they honestly do believe it's a commandment to convert others to their faith, they can't help themselves. They are driven to be this way, regardless that there's resistence from those they're trying to convert. In their minds, it's just "Satan" trying to keep those poor souls in darkness. The best thing to do is tell them straight out that you're not interested, and neither is your mom.

just think to yourself WWJD, what would jesus do?

i'm just joshin you.

i've been going to church my whole but , then i stopped going for about a year. I just keep my faith in God and he lead me back to church again. Just hold on to your faith and he will bring you home.

Now to get rid of those people. next time you go to the laundry mat, bring some holy oil/water, that way when they bug you all you need to do is pull out the holy oil/water, throw it at them, and say i rebuke you satan. Ha it's just an idea : ) good luck and God bless.

Tell them that you appreciate their concern, but their constant harassment is not going to accomplish anything positive and you'd appreciate it if they would stop. Tell them that you appreciate their invitation to attend their church, and will keep it in mind, but if you decide to go, you will let them know. Some people can't take no for an answer, and some of those people are Christians.

Tell them plainly that you are already Christian and you are already saved. Tell them that conversion means taking people who don't believe on Jesus and helping them to believe, not forcing some one who already knows and loves Jesus in to their own church.

Tell them they are being really rude and you don't appreciate them trying to force you in to going with them. Tell them that you are already acquainted with Jesus and no one could make you love him more, so if you don't mind try converting a person who actually doesn't believe in Jesus. Tell them it's not their job to force someone into a church that they don't want to go to.

first of all, if you have your own church, that is where you need to go, and you need to tell them thanks but you already attend. However, one thing here- calling anyone ignoramuses, does not fit well with someone who calls themselves a Christian. Tell those people to leave you alone, but remember how we are to be with people- loving like Jesus.

they're just holding you accountable which is what we are called to do to fellow christians.

~Do not give up meeting together which some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Heb 10:25

My guess is that you have made it clear that you are not interested with such nice phrases as "no, thanks. I already go to a Temple." and "I'm really not looking for a church right now."

The persistence you describe negates the need for niceties. How about "Okay, enough. I'm not interested in going to your church and neither is my mom. Let's talk about something else."

I suggest you avoid them at all costs for a while & then as comedian Robin Williams once said: "If someone comes to your door & says have you found Jesus? Answer the door naked & say no help me look for him, would ya?"
