It's an oxy-moron. Creationism is no way has science in them but the uneducated people trying to get it taught in school along side with evolution as a SCIENCE are pretty ridiculous. So why do they think it is a science?

It is an attempt to have it recognized as a science and therefore force it into the public school system. They call it intelligent design and know it is not a science but the lie is still a lie.

They think it makes it sound more credible, despite the fact that creationists in general do not consider the scientific method to be at all credible, otherwise they wouldn't be creationists.
It's quite similar to the way they insist on calling atheism a religion, as though that some how makes it seem ridiculous.

Because they do not understand what science is. If they did understand science, they wouldn't call creationism science. In any event, it is pointless, as evolution is a proven fact.

I believe in Creation. I don't consider it science. Science is man's observations of the physical world.
I'm pretty sure no man was around to witness God creating earth.

I can't speak for all creatonists (and I'm not one in the connotational sense) but I don't think most creationists believe it is science. Instead, the common argument is that it is an alternative to scientific thought on the origin and nature of the universe and therefore should be taught in school and, perhaps, in science classes.

It's an attempt to make creationism appear academic. What it does, however, is prove that science is a valid method of attaining knowledge and faith is not.

Because blatant hypocrisy is no problem for them, and while they dishonestly attempt to discredit real mainstream science with misinformation, misrepresentation, lies and deciet, they seem happy to claim that the word "science" carries weight when describing their own ficticious and fantastical claims..
You know it makes sense..!

Why do advocates of the 'stork theory' call their beliefs reproduction science?

Like everything else: because someone told them to, and they know nothing about science so they accept it.

Five multi-syllabic words in the same sentence = science.
