I have taken 3 cars in trade on one deal! I also have taken boats, motorcycles, trailers, and a motor home with a bad transmission (which turned out to be covered under warranty, but the customer did not check).
You will get more for your trade if you sell it yourself, but if you do not want the hassle, you can trade them.
As a dealer I love multiple trades. I usually make more money when I sell the trades, even if it is at the auction, than I would just selling one!

Yes, I traded a pickup and a car for a new car before. I have also traded two cars for a used car. You might be better off selling the cars yourself since you would probably get more than what the dealer would offer you for them.

rarely... most new car dealerships don't even want 1 trade-in unless it is only a couple years old with low miles so they can make some profit on the pre-owned section of the lot...... most go to auctions and they take what they can get.. as it was reflected in the deal you made on the new car.. i would sell them both first privately and use the funds for a good down payment

I did that with one of my purchases. We got a new Sable for $2000 including tax, license and all fees.
Still you are better off selling them yourself. You could try and put both of them on sale and when you sold one of them, you could then trade in the remaining one. That way you would have a car to drive until you get the new one.

YES BUT I WOULD NOT BE IN TO MUCH OF A HURRY TO TRADE TWO FOR ONE.
I JUST DO NOT TRUST ANY DEALERS AT ALL.
