Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم stated:

"My Nation will be divided to 70 plus sect, all in Hell-fire except one" This hadith is in The Sunna's Sahih Al Bukhari (Hadith 2650) an Al Kafi's Shia Hadith book; (1433), How can you be so sure that you're the ONE sect exempted of hell-fire?

If you are following the Koran and doing everything the way the prophet pbuh did , how can you be wrong ?
Prophet Mohammad pbuh said : I've left for you what if you hang to you will never go astray : The book of Allah and my Sunna

It doesn't say 70 sects of Islam. Maybe it will be 70 sects of Muslims (gossipers, liars, gluttons etc.)

I'm a Muslim, someone who believes that there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the last prophet.

I follow the Quran and sahih sunnah.

And that is good enough for me...

I don't trust Hadiths books. I am sorry it might be offensive to others but this is the way I feel. Many destructive things come from those books. Let the people, including Muslims, choose the way they want to believe and God will judge all of us someday.
Personally, I believe all good people from all faiths will get a good judgement regardless what religion they are refered to.

Well, no one is sure of that, and it is Haraam for one to decide his/her own fate. Therefore, we need to live up to ALLAH's word and Follow the Deen of Islam, offer salaat and remain faithful.

it is when you dont call yourself a memeber of any of the sect... when you label yourself "muslim" and not be loyal to a certain party or a certain group.. just .. muslim
