...don't want to protect our kids from medications and poisonous chemicals?

"Who started this safety cap thing craziness? does anyone else get tired of this?
Does anyone else get tired of needing a scalpel, a pair of scissors, a butane lighter and a saw to get into the products you buy??????? Everything from Tylenol to Coffee Creamer-is all wrapped so tightly it's just time consuming?"

LOL...

actually, though, those who rail against homosexuality and the media are often the same people who say global warming is liberal claptrap and vaccinations will kill their children.

And many of them choose to homeschool.

I'm off to kill myself now....

Oh boy, the book of people I would never let babysit my kids just got another name in it.

It doesn't surprise me. My Christian grandmother tried to protect us from MTV at ALL COSTS, but she told us not to buckle up in the car because Jesus would protect us from an accident. Maybe they are church buddies, SZ and my grandma?

I mean, go figure.

i think it all comes down to the responsibility thing again...yes, we want to protect children from bad stuff...maybe if we did it by teaching then they'd actually learn.
it's kinda the same subject...like teaching a child to use a gun if it's in the house then it won't be so interesting to the kid and he won't kill his best friend. if you explain to a child that it's harmful and could kill you...put the fear into it...you will teach them.

I'm afraid all the kids will be bungee-jumping off bridges soon just to put some spice in their life.

Don't assume it's just children they are protecting - remember the Tylenol poisonings that started this stuff? (Look it up if not.)

We have no children in our home, nevertheless... I can't open half of what we buy... and a child probably could!
