Couldn't a jug of milk do the same thing if I prayed to it?

When Christians say "God answers prayers in the form of 'yes', 'no' and 'wait', it is impossible to lose:

- The thing you pray for might coincidentally happen the next day. More information: http://whywontgodhealamputees.com

- Or it might coincidentally happen a week or a month or a year later.

- Or it might never happen.

'Yes', 'no' and 'wait' is ALWAYS true, no matter what. It is even true if you pray to a jug of milk. Or a stone idol. Or the planet Jupiter. 'Yes', 'no' and 'wait' is true no matter what you pray to.

As a Christian, you have believed that God is answering your prayers. But all that you are seeing is an illusion. The illusion is created by coincidence and the 'yes', 'no' and 'wait' mentality.

Assuming you are a smart person, you should be able to see this now.

If we say "God answers prayers in the form of 'yes', 'no' and 'wait'," God can't lose.

But in reality, "God" is no different than a jug of milk. The jug of milk can't lose either. That is the illusion.

Gui, the question I just asked before this one will show you how the healing of tumors, and accrediting that to God is a false belief.

No, the magic 8 ball actually gives more definitive answers.

With god (or the milk jug) you wait & wait & wait until it happens.

If a guy prays to god every day that he'll get a raise at work, and he goes to work and works hard..... after a few months he'll get a raise. Is it god's work or the man's hard work? The guy could just as easily pray to the jug of milk and get the same results.

GUI:
Just because it cannot be explained yet by science, that doesn't make it a divine miracle from god. Ignorant twit.

I noticed from your question that you seem to assume that the only reason to pray is simply to beg God for free stuff -- like God is a genie. Prayer serves other purposes other than just to ask for stuff. If all that you want is a slave to satisfy your selfishness, then you might as well pray to your jug of milk.

Prayer is actually an act of worship that involves thanking God for what you have, praising him for who he is, and confessing your sins. Prayer is a way of relating to God, so that you become closer to him.

And contemplative prayer (meditation) is where you actually "listen" to God; most people assume that the good ideas that pop into their head when they are quiet and pondering the universe come from God, since the Bible says that God gives wisdom to those who ask for it.

But beyond that, prayer puts one's mind at ease, because you are reminding yourself that God knows what is going on, and that he is doing something about it.

I couldn't find the article on Christianity.com
Nor could I find a denomination affiliation for the site. But I didn't like what I saw.

But...I understand what you are saying. It is faith that makes prayers to God true.

Matthew 7:7-8, our Lord Jesus says:
“Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.”

Maybe we ask for the wrong things!

Most of my prayers are for praise. I praise God for all that he has done and all of my blessings. I wouldn't feel right praising a milk jug.

The question is: what style of Christians are telling you that? could desire to they be the comparable evangelical varieties that offered into the Kenny Copeland/Hagen "call it and declare it, blab it and grab it!" doctrine, which, via the way, relies fullyyt on choosing and selecting verses out of context to help a declare. Heck, i could desire to "teach" to you with scripture that Fords get extra valuable gas mileage than Chevies utilising this ploy. i'm guessing that the "God solutions all prayers" crowd is basing this on little extra effective than interpreting way too plenty into an quite few verses ripped out of the Gospels; verses the place Jesus became conversing quite to His disciples - no longer inevitably to American evangelicals some twenty centuries later. right it is a parting concept, and you do no longer could desire to be a Christian to get it: in Mark 14:36 Jesus prayed to the daddy to "eliminate this cup from me, ; yet no longer what i visit, yet what thou wilt." In different words, the Son of God did no longer cope with the daddy as some style of cosmic E-Bay, so it is going very practically without asserting that Christians in recent times probable should not be attempting to the two.

MILK DOES THE BODY GOOD.....PASS IT ON

2 Timothy 4
1 I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when he appears to set up his Kingdom: 2 Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will reject the truth and chase after myths.

5 But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.

God is real and so are his answers. Pray and see how it works for you.
And its not going to be right when you want, but when he sees fit, thats why they say he says wait. He knows what hes doing.

God does answer questions with a yes, no, or wait and sometimes He doesn't answer at all until it's His time.

I guess you'd really have to understand our Lord in order to understand His answers. It's not always "yes", "no", and "wait". It's much more than that - but you won't hear any plausible answer since you're not a Christian yourself. katiefish <><
