Your "feeling' is wrong...they are worried about it.

Pakistan having nuclear weapons is a huge problem...that is why we "play nice" with them even though we are ideologically disparate. If Musharraf falls and the Islamist Fundamentalists take control...you'll see how quickly Pakistan stops being a nuclear power

Pakistan has nukes to counter India's dominant military (comparative to theirs). It is the only thing that brings Pakistan to an even playing field with India. Both countries have them because they are a deterrent for each other. They dispute the ownership of the Kashmir region (as does China, but just a portion of the top of Kashmir). When both countries developed and tested their nukes (against UN wishes) they were both economically sanctioned. This is why the US pulled the F-16 order that was currently being delivered to Pakistan. Sanctions have just now recently been lifted on both. We have redeveloped relations with Pakistan because they are our only route into Afghanistan. India's sanctions have been lifted also and now India is on a military buying spree and the US and Europe wants to get in on the $$$. Iran has made open claims that they want to wipe Israel from the face of the earth, so you tell me why would we would try our best to keep them from developing nukes? Not hard to figure out why the world would is better off with a nuclear weapons free Iran. If they were honestly only after nuclear power (which is a whole different program from a nuke weapons program), then I'm sure we would just make sure the UN has a close watch on it and allow them to create nuclear power to better their country power load.

You are obviously too young. Just a few short years ago, Pakistan and India almost went nuclear on each other over some disputed territory. It was very close and very tense. They did escalate to fighting for a short time with conventional weapons and actually positioned nukes for use before backing down. They probably came closer to using nukes than during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

The Pakistan-Indian conflict over Kashmir has a horrible impact on the whole region. Pakistan and India do NOT have nukes for peaceful purposes. They have them for each other. The only reason they have not alread been in a nuclear war is because of MAD.

Because people trust Pakistan and India.

Nobody trusts Iran, you know the country that daily states it will wipe Israel of the face of the Earth.
Seems they are not to tolerant of Non-Muslim nations either.

Israel is damned worried about what the Iranians will do, but if they try anything then Israel will Nuke them first.

hehe...

Are you serious?

You might as well be saying Johnny next-door Neighbor has a gun so why can't the Convicted rapist across the street.

OK. OK. My analogy isn't spot-on, but you get the point.

Iran can't have them because they are openly genocidal towards friends of ours. That, and the fact that, in contrast to what you have stated, many ME countries are "worried" about it.
